dhw: We "know" that we are in a life-sustaining universe. We do not know how it got this way or how life originated. Your eternal, self-aware creator is one explanatory hypothesis, chance is another explanatory hypothesis, an intelligent but unselfconscious form of energy (the orderly laws of Nature) is another explanatory hypothesis. -Laws are rules. Rules are logical concepts, guidelines. Therefore rules are information/intelligence. Where did those iniital laws come from? Are they eternal or were they composed? From something or from nothing?
