Faith: I left agnosticism by reading; note this parallel (Religion)

QUOTE: [...] no one really understands the mechanisms by which the evolutionary process unfolds, and therefore that the ID position cannot simply be set aside as of no value. It has just as much of a chance of being true as the materialist Darwinian view — and probably a better chance.

DAVID: this guy and I are intellectual twins in thought. I'll report more of his comments.

dhw: It’s a pity that he doesn’t seem to have realized that Darwin was an agnostic. My own conversion from atheism to agnosticism came about initially through reading Origin of Species. Since then I have always respected design as an argument in favour of God’s existence, just as I respect the argument that one cannot solve a mystery by creating an even more mysterious mystery. If it weren’t for “probably a better chance”, I would also regard the writer as an “intellectual twin”.

I'll stick with here must be designer.
